About these terms

This website is operated by Homestead Stonework (ABN 44 256 236 800), a stone masonry business based in Belconnen, ACT. By using this website you accept these terms. They apply to the website only; work we carry out for you is governed by the written quotation and any contract you accept.

Website use

The content on this website is provided for general information about Homestead Stonework and its services. While we take care to keep it accurate and current, it does not constitute a quotation, contractual offer or professional advice. Photographs show completed projects and are indicative only; the appearance of natural stone varies between quarries, batches and individual stones.

Quotes and engagements

All work is subject to a written quotation and acceptance. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may vary where site conditions differ materially from those apparent at the time of quoting, such as ground conditions, access or drainage requirements discovered once work begins; any variation will be discussed and agreed in writing before proceeding.

Stonework and site matters

Natural stone is a quarried product and variation in colour, texture and size is inherent to the material, not a defect. Where a project requires engineering documentation or development approval (for example, certain retaining walls in the ACT or NSW), obtaining that documentation and approval will be addressed in the quotation. Timeframes given for stonework are estimates in good faith and may be affected by weather, stone supply and site access.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and progress payments, are set out in each written quotation. Ownership of supplied materials remains with Homestead Stonework until paid for in full.

Intellectual property

All text, branding, logos and photographs on this site are the property of Homestead Stonework (or used with permission) and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on general information published on this website.
